Have We Hidden Our Righteousness?

In Psalm 40, there is a very interesting concept, starting in verse 6:
6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”

9 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness
In the great assembly;
Indeed, I do not restrain my lips,
O LORD, You Yourself know.
10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth
From the great assembly.

David sings that when a man makes the Lord his trust(verse 4), then the Lord turns his attention to that man, He opens the man's ears to hear truth, and does not desire physical sacrifices, but obedience and righteousness of heart. Sacrifices are not for God, never have been, it is for us, sacrifices are physical works that reveal the heart, that is what pleases Yahweh God, a broken heart of love for Him and His ways. That is what propels Christians to great heights, to go beyond the natural in to the supernatural, humility God will never despise, it is always accepted. This is what allows the man to have that name written in the book of Life, a rebel is not found there. In verse 9 and 10, David declares he proclaimed righteousness in the great assembly, so should we. David says he has not concealed or hidden his righteousness, or the lovingkindness of God, so we must do likewise. If we want to see the move of God, we must move, not in pride or contrived program, but starting in the simple things, let your relationship with Christ be known. There can never be a change toward righteousness if it is confused or not known.
If you Love Him, say so!
